Vijayawada: The Cloth Merchants Association, one of the oldest cloth merchant associations at Vastralatha in One Town elected its president, secretary and members here on Friday.
The newly elected president V Jagan Mohan Rao, secretary K Anil Kumar and 25 members took charge for the year 2018 -19.
Jaganmohan Rao said that the association was completed its 84th anniversary and there were 306 stores in the textile complex.
The association would strive for the welfare of the merchants and solve the problems faced by the textile traders.
The newly elected members were congratulated by the former members.
V Ramachandra Rao, former president, B Prasad, K Vidyadhar Rao, Ganga Venkata Ramesh, S Sambasiva Rao and others were present.
