Energy Efficient Award bestowed on RINL
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited RINL has been bestowed with Excellent Energy Efficient Award by Confederation of Indian Industry CII, Godrej Green Business Centre during the 19th National Competition for Excellence in Energy Management held at Hyderabad
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has been bestowed with ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Award’ by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Godrej Green Business Centre during the 19th National Competition for Excellence in Energy Management held at Hyderabad.
The award has been conferred on RINL for excellent efforts towards reduction of specific energy consumption, energy conservation, implementation of energy conservation technologies, energy management system (ISO:50001), bench marking, road map to reduce energy consumption and waste recycling, various innovative projects during 2017-18. The RINL achieved 5.5 per cent reduction in specific energy consumption in 2017-18 over the previous year.
The award was given away by Ajay Mishra, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Energy, Telangana State in the presence of Pankaj Kumar, Secretary, BEE, Ministry of Power and the award received by T K Dey, DGM RINL along with his team. P Raychaudhury, CMD, RINL, commended VSP’s collective efforts for the achievement and mentioned that the award truly reflects the commitment of entire workforce. He exhorted them to achieve international bench marking in energy consumption, one of the key parameter in steel making process.
