Vijayawada: To extend support to Kerala flood victims, the Krishna District Wholesale Drug Trade Association and All India Drug Control Officers Confederation sent medicines worth Rs 9 lakh to Kerala on Friday.

The medicines were sent to Satya Sai Seva Trust in Kerala.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijayawada Zone Inspector Sambasiva Rao said that as human beings it was our duty to extend help to people who were in need due to natural calamities.

He said that 52 cartons of medicines containing all kinds of medicine were sent to Kerala.

Drug association president CC Kesava Rao, secretary P Muralikrishna, honorary president U Sambasiva Rao, members Umashankar, Siva, Ramakrishna, Koteswara Rao, Krishna district drug officer K Raj Baan and others were present.
