Authority MG Priyadarsini. She participated in the National Lok Adalat organised at the district courts complex here on Saturday.

Speaking to the complainants and defendants at the National Lok Adalat, Priyadarsini explained that 23 benches were arranged in all courts in the district for the Lok Adalat as per the orders of Supreme Court and eight of them were arranged in Ongole court.

She said that with the amicable settlement, a speedy award will be passed in the Lok Adalat without wasting valuable time and money.

She announced that 2,600 cases were settled with the mutual consent from the parties in the district, including a civil case of property division worth Rs 8 crore.

District additional judges RJ Viswanatham, Ch Rajagopala Rao, S Ramesh, senior civil judges B Sobhakumari, R Sarath Babu, senior civil judge and secretary of District Legal Services Authority T Raja Venkatadri, junior civil judges V Pallavi, M Sudha, Bar Association president KRT Paul, government pleader M Ajay Babu, public prosecutor SSRK Prasad and other public and private lawyers also participated in the Lok Adalat.
