Guntur: Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao directed the SDPOs to conduct coordination meeting the police officials and officials of other government department to explain rules and norms to be followed while conducting Vinaya Chaviti Ustavams.
He instructed the officials to set up peace committees wherever necessary and see that no disturbance due to pandals and traffic problems.
He directed them to see that all the programmes in the pandals should be completed before 10 pm and said they had banned firing of crackers on the roads.
He warned that they would take action, if they conduct obscene programmes in the padals and directed the pandal organisers to inform about the schedule of Vinayana idol nimajjanam and where they will immerse the idol and give route map to the police.
He warned that they will not tolerate if anybody consume liquor and create disturbance to the people.
