GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar has said they will conduct sanitation fortnight in 26 problematic areas in Guntur city till September 25
Guntur: GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar has said they will conduct sanitation fortnight in 26 problematic areas in Guntur city till September 25.
The GMC started sanitation fortnight on Monday. He addressed a meeting held at the GMC office with the officials on Tuesday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that he appointed special officers and 19 teams to monitor the programme.
He said that they would take steps to conduct anti-larva operations and keep oil balls in the side drains.
He directed the public health department officials to keep clean these areas and remove garbage on the roads immediately.
He instructed them to gather details of dengue and malaria patients and submit the list to the higher officials.
GMC Additional Commissioner K Ramachandra Reddy was present.
