Amaravati: BJP Floor leader P Vishnukumar Raju urged the State government to print Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the publicity posters of ChandrannaBima scheme.
Participating in the debate on ChandrannaBima in the Assembly here on Wednesday, he said that though the Centre spent nearly half of the total funds spent for insurance scheme, the State government was not giving due share of publicity to the Prime Minister.
The BJP member took strong objection to the attitude of government in this regard. Stating that he brought the issue to the notice of officials concerned several times, he said they did not take any initiative to set right the issue.
MLA Anita said the poorer sections were utilising Chandranna Bima scheme across the state. She challenged the Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy to prove his followers were not using the benefits of Bima scheme.
