Chittoor: After a long wait of 12 years, the RTC introduced a special service from railway station to the Collectorate for the convenience of the employees working in the Collector’s office. District Collector PS Pradyumna flagged off the bus service at railway station here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector mentioned the service was introduced as some employees, who are working at the Collectorate are facing difficulties to reach the working place after alighting at railway station. Pradyumna ha stated more than 200 employees, who reside in Tirupati, travel in Venkatadri Express and reach Chittoor before 9 am.

The distance between the railway station and the Collectorate is 6 km. Employees are incurring more expenditure to reach their destination by engaging autos from railway station, he stated, adding that bus service was introduced as employees can reach office in time with minimum fare.
