Vijayawada: Some scenes of NTR biopic will be shot at Palakaitippa village in Koduru mandal near Hamasaladeevi beach in Krishna district from Wednesday. MLA and reigning star Nandamuri Balakrishna is enacting his father NTR’s role and also producing the film along with other co-producers.

According to crew members, they did not get confirmation whether Balakrishna would join the shooting or not. The crew members had set up temporary sheds near beach for the shooting purpose.

Indeed, the shooting arrangements would have completed by Monday. But the Forest department officials raised objections for shooting at Palakaitippa by raising some environmental objections. The producers got permission from forest department on Tuesday by giving assurance towards protection of environment.

In fact, at least 40 locals including 20 children are likely to get an opportunity to act in the film. The set directors and film unit organisers might give the opportunity to locals for acting in the movie.

Already some locals acted in Bellamonda Srinivas-starrer Jaya Janaki Nayaka movie which was pictured at the same location. Now, the villagers of Palakaitippa got the opportunity in NTR’s biopic. Hence, if the film hits the bull's eye at the box office, the location would get prominence for shootings in future, said V Shankar, a native of Palakaitippa village.

Besides, Daggubati Rana, director Krish is likely to participate in the shooting. But they don’t have any prior information about Balakrishna’s presence, said a crew member on condition of anonymity. He said the shooting would continue for three to seven days based on the requirement. He said that a cyclone and other incidents would be shot here.
