Akiveedu: Panchayat sanitation workers under the aegis of CITU organised a rally and staged dharna here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, CITU district treasurer B Anjaneyulu criticised the adamant attitude of the government in solving problems of striking workers even though their agitation reached 10th day.
He condemned the ‘aggressive stance’ of the government in using police force against the agitators.
It was shame on the part of government to ignore the strike as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claims himself as Coolie No 1.
He threatened the government to intensify the strike, if it failed to concede to the demands of the sanitation workers.
