PBS students excel in youth festival in Vijayawada
The students of Siddhartha Arts and Science College PBS excelled in overall theatre events and won the championship organised by Padmavathi Women University from October 7 to 11, according to the college dean Rajesh Jampala on Sunday
Vijayawada: The students of Siddhartha Arts and Science College (PBS) excelled in overall theatre events and won the championship organised by Padmavathi Women University from October 7 to 11, according to the college dean Rajesh Jampala on Sunday.
He said that the students excelled at the 34th South Indian Inter-University Youth Festival.
About 34 participants from four states participated in the fest.
All the nine universities from AP participated in the fest and PBS represented Krishna University and won the competition.
The students excelled in various topics in the competition and won the championship and were selected for the national competition, said college cultural department head Dr B Jayaprakash.
The students exhibited excellent performance in Folk orchestra, Mime, Skits, Solo instrumental, Western group song and Instrumental categories.
The college director V Babu Rao, principal M Ramesh, faculty and others congratulated the winners.
