OMC to hold Swachh competition for organisations
To prepare organisations, schools and other institutions for the Swachh Sarvekshan 2019 Awards and to increase participation of public in improvising the sanitation in the town, the Ongole Municipal Corporation announced Swachh Competition for various types of organisations
Ongole: To prepare organisations, schools and other institutions for the Swachh Sarvekshan 2019 Awards and to increase participation of public in improvising the sanitation in the town, the Ongole Municipal Corporation announced Swachh Competition for various types of organisations.
The Ongole Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Sankranthi Venkata Krishna announced in a statement that the Swachh competition would be held for the schools, religious places like temples, churches and masjids, colonies, parks, Aanganwadi centers, hotels, hospitals, burial grounds, and markets in the limits of municipal corporation.
He said that the competition will be held every month on 25th and 26th and the interested participants should register their organization by 24th.
He announced that an officer from the OMC will visit the organisation or public place and inspects for the cleanliness, wet and dry waste segregation, toilets, continuous water supply to the urinals, healthy atmosphere and provision of safe drinking water.
He said that the competition will be continued every month up to the Swachh Sarvekshan team visit to Ongole in January 2019 and asked the public to participate in the competition in large numbers every month till then.
