Vijayawada: G V L Narsimha Rao, BJP’s Rajya Sabha member demanded resignation of CM Ramesh, TDP MP and asked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to ensure it.

Speaking to media here on Friday, Narasimha Rao noted that Ramesh have evaded Rs 100 crore tax. He said that CM Ramesh has no moral right to continue as MP in the Rajya Sabha.

He wondered as to how can the MP challenge about his credentials while evading tax. He said that Ramesh should answer about the tax payments immediately. The BJP MP alleged that public believe that Ramesh was a benami of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

He said that the state government was misusing the power for land alltment to IT companies, “Though the lands were allotted for various companies, no company has started their office,” he said. He asked the government to show the details of land allotments to the IT companies and their operations. “The state government looted the public money in the name of IT companies,” he alleged.

Narsimha Rao said that Chief Minister Naidu was touring Srikakulam district when the elections were coming closer, otherwise he would have spent time in Singapore. He stated that the Chief Minister should answer the questions raised by Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. He also quoted the comments of Pawan Kalyan on qualification of IT minister Nara Lokesh for continuing as minister in the state Cabinet.

He said that the Centre was ready to set up steel factory in Kadapa, but the state government did not submit proper report for it and claimed CM Ramesh’s hunger strike was for political gains only.
