AP crafts mela to be held in Tirupati from Nov 24
The second AP crafts mela of AP Tourism department will be held at SV University Tarakarama Stadium from November 24 to 26 APTD will conduct the programme jointly with district administration
Tirupati: The second “AP crafts mela” of AP Tourism department will be held at SV University Tarakarama Stadium from November 24 to 26. APTD will conduct the programme jointly with district administration. District Collector PS Pradyumna has asked the Tourism department officials and Vibri Media who will organise the event to make arrangements which should reflect the culture and traditions.
Reviewing various development activities with district officials in Tirupati on Tuesday, he said the first AP crafts mela was also organised earlier in Tirupati and it was a grand success. In the same spirit the second event should also be made successful.
Steps should be taken to bring artisans from all the 13 districts in the state to display their art forms and workmanship. Similarly, traditional dishes should also find a place at the mela. Cultural events like comic shows, musical nights with cine playback singers, dance forms that reflect all the districts should be incorporated.
