Srikakulam: TDP MP K Rammohan Naidu on Thursday alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre intentionally neglecting the Titli-affected Srikakulam district.
Agitating at Palasa along with other TDP leaders against Centre’s negligence in providing aid to cyclone-hit areas in the district, the MP came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not responding on the issue and not even a single Central minister visited the cyclone-affected areas so far.
Stating that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu immediately visited the cyclone affected areas and stayed here till the completion of restoration works, the MP said the BJP government is yet to respond on a letter sent by the Chief Minister for temporary aid of Rs 1,200 crore.
He said that entire nation was paying attention and coming forward to provide donations by showing humanity towards cyclone victims. But the Central government is yet to respond on aid to the state, he said.
Earlier, the TDP leaders, P Vital, Y Venkanna Chowdari and others took out a rally in Palasa town protesting the Centre negligent attitude in releasing financial aid to cyclone hit areas in the district.
