Guntur: Alleging that the Modi government at the Centre had done injustice to AP, home minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said voters would teach a lesson to the BJP in the coming general elections. He addressed a press meet in Vinukonda Roads and Buildings department guest house on Monday.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who made a brief halt en route Srisailam, reminded that several states had already withdrew the general consent to the CBI and AP followed suit. Condemning the attempts by BJP and YSRCP to portray the move as something done by AP alone, he asked what was wrong in the state government taking the decision in the wake of fierce war going on in the CBI.

On the case of attack on YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, he said a Special Investigation Team was probing the incident and he would share the details soon. The home minister said a case would be registered against ruling party MLA of Dedulur Chintamaneni Prabhakar for his derogatory comments on the media. To a question, Rajappa said Kapus do not believe YSRCP and they had full confidence in TDP. MLA and TDP Guntur district president G V. Anjaneyulu was also present.
