Visakhapatnam: The 51st anniversary of the Submarine Arm was celebrated under the aegis of Flag Officer Submarines at Visakhapatnam.
The anniversary is celebrated to commemorate the commissioning of the first submarine INS Kalvari. Chief of Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Karambir Singh, was the chief guest of the programme.
The event was attended by officers of Eastern Naval Command, veteran officers of the submarine arm and other dignitaries including P Basant Kumar, Metropolitan Commissioner VMRDA.
