Vijayawada: Bharatiya Sangeeta Nataka Academy awardee Vedantam Radheshyam said tradition is life of the nation which would remain forever. He was the chief guest at 9th edition of Ethnic Day celebrations organised by Andhra Loyola College on the college grounds here on Friday.

The event was organised by the college management with the theme ‘Respecting Respective and Roots’ (RRR), which is to preserve the age-old cultural and traditional values of the nation.

Students from various parts of the country participated in Ethnic Day festival celebrations and presented the rich culture and heritage of India by showcasing the Ethnic Dress Wear and the Food Stalls with diversified cuisine of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Radhesyam said India is the centre of several cultures and traditions and its proving its ‘Unity in Diversity’ from decades.

The college principal Fr Dr GAP Kishore said students from across the country are studying in Andhra Loyola College and this college is one of the models of Unity in the Diversity. The college was organising the Ethnic Day from the inception of the college in December.

Degree college principal Fr Milkier, Dr NA Francis Xavier, Correspondent Fr Sayagraj, Fr Balasowry, lecturers and students participated in the Ethnic Day.
