Ongole: The QIS Educational Institutions secretary and correspondent Nidamanuri Surya Kalyan Chakravarthy and Nidamanuri Educational Society president Nidamanuri Nageswara Rao announced that a seminar on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring was held in the QIS College of Pharmacy in the Vegamukkapalem in Ongole on Wednesday.

They said that Dr Ch Hima Bindu, assistant professor in Pharmacology from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Ongole attended as the resource person for the awareness program and explained about the QSAR. They said that Dr Hima Bindu explained that same drugs in the same doses can show different results and advised the students to be careful while using them.

She said that reactions can be minimized by identifying the density of drug plasma through the TDM. She said that based on the age, weight, working of the body organs, one can determine the dose and improve the life standard. The college of QIS Pharmacy College Dr D Dakshinamurthy and the teaching staff made the arrangements for the programme.
