As many as 800 cyclists participated in the Amaravati City Ride 2019 which was flagged off at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation IGMC Stadium here on Sunday

Vijayawada: As many as 800 cyclists participated in the ‘Amaravati City Ride-2019’ which was flagged off at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium here on Sunday.

The ride was organised by Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) in association with Amaravathi Runners.

The ride was flagged off by LV Subramanyam, Special Chief Secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the ride was organised to create awareness among the people of the State on the development activities taken up till now at the capital city of Amaravati.

The cyclists reached Uddandarayapalem for a break and from there they reached the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sridhar flagged off the second phase of the cycle ride.

He said that this ride was a part of the successful Amaravati Run organised in December 2018 which was a big success.
