Raptadu (Anantapur): Minister for Women and Child Welfare Paritala Sunitha has given away tractors to farmers Nagaratnamma, Ramalingappa and others under ‘Rythu Ratham’ for their village farm operations at Vepakunta village in Kanaganapalle mandal in Raptadu constituency here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunitha stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu government is pro-farmer and had done which no other government had done in the past. She said that the Chief Minister is giving Rs 9,000 in addition to the Central government dole of Rs 6,000 to every farmer family.
The bringing of Krishna water from Godavari to Krishna under Pattiseema Project and diverting the same waters to Anantapur through the HNSS Project had been the biggest irrigation marvel in history. Thereby it transformed the face of the district and filled all village tanks contributing to groundwater table increase, she added.
