Data transfer and missing of names of voters in many parts of the State had sparked row between the TDP and YSRCP
Vijayawada: Data transfer and missing of names of voters in many parts of the State had sparked row between the TDP and YSRCP.
Earlier, YSRCP lodged a complaint in Hyderabad stating that data collected by the TDP cadre is being used for deletion of names of voters, particularly the supporters of YSRCP. But, the TDP denied it and party leaders are now alleging that YSRCP was conducting raids with the help of Telangana government and local police in Hyderabad.
Senior TDP leader and whip in the Legislative Council Payyavula Keshav on Sunday alleged that the YSRCP with the support of Telangana government is conducting raids on the Seva Mithra app service provider IT Grid Private Limited in Hyderabad.
He alleged that the YSRCP hatched a conspiracy to steal the data of Telugu Desam Party by conducting raids on the IT service provider at Kukatpally Hyderabad.
Keshav reacted to the raids conducted by the Telangana police in Hyderabad on Saturday and confiscation of six computers and data from the office.
In a press release on Sunday, Keshav said if data is transferred from Andhra Pradesh it comes under the jurisdiction of Andhra Pradesh Election Commission and it is nothing to do with Telangana government.
He alleged the raids were conducted on IT Grid Private Limited to recover the data of the TDP party membership data, booth-level party data and other details and to hand it over to the YSRCP.
He pointed out that the Telangana government could transfer the data to Andhra Pradesh government instead of filing FIR on the staff of the IT service provider.
He said the raid proves that there is a link between YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy and Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
He termed the complaint lodged by YSRCP leader V Vijayasai Reddy on transfer of data as a conspiracy and felt five crore Telugu people would teach a lesson to YSRCP.
Minister for Law and Sports Kollu Ravindra alleged that the Telangana police were harassing the IT staff who developed App for the TDP. He spoke to the media at Praja Vedika at Undavalli on Sunday. He said the police raid on IT Grid Pvt Limited in Hyderabad is a clear plot to weaken the Telugu Desam Party.
Deletion of voters from many Assembly constituencies in the State sparked row between the TDP and YSRCP. Earlier, YSRCP leader Vijaysai Reddy lodged a complaint with Telangana police that important data related to Smart Pulse Survey and personal details of 3.5 crore people transferred from government to private agencies. He alleged that the TDP was using the data to delete the names of the supporters of YSRCP from the voters list.
Based on the complaint, the Telangana police conducted raid on Saturday and seized the data belonging to Andhra Pradesh people and took four employees into custody for questioning.
It may be recalled that both the TDP and YSRCP leaders were making allegations against each other that the other party is behind the deletion of lakhs of names from the voters list.
