Based on the aluminium intensive iQ architecture which also underpins the XE and new XF, the F-Pace takes on the likes of BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLC. The F-Pace is designed to be the sportiest crossover in its segment and it certainly looks the part.

The high riding Jag features an aggressive design all around with sleek headlamps, trademark grille, sporty bumpers, a dynamic silhouette, large alloy wheels and unmistakable LED taillights. Inside, dashboard design derives its inspiration from the XE. The simple dashboard has wide touchscreen infotainment display.

The show car is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission and an AWD system. The engine develops 300 PS and 700 Nm of torque. The crossover is also powered a 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol and a range of 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines of Ingenium family.

The Jaguar F-Pace would be launched in India sometime later this year and it is likely to be built locally at JLR India’s Pune plant.
