After a close inspection, we are convinced that it is indeed the ix20. The compact crossover is a tad longer than the critical 4m limit so it may not be a viable product for India.

We think it is testing a powertrain or a module which would be used by the production version of the Carlino.
The new Hyundai Tucson which made its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo has started testing in the country. The spotting indicates that it is steadily approaching its launch day.
The Hyundai Tucson is a part of the South Korean automaker’s comprehensive crossover lineup for India. To be slotted between the Creta and Santa Fe, the new Tucson is all about offering the customers a choice of premium crossovers across all sizes and segments. The five seater is expected to be pitted against the Honda CR-V and Skoda Yeti. The car would rely on its global status, attractive design and a lengthy equipment status to make a case for itself.
Unlike the previous Tucson which had a forgettable innings in India, the latest iteration looks poised to create an impact. The upmarket SUV packs a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking and blind spot detection, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, automatic parking, panoramic sunroof and many more.
Based on the new platform, the new Tucson is more spacious than before and features a larger boot (513 litres). The India-spec model would be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine which is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox to dish out a heady 182.5 bhp and 402 Nm of torque. Both AWD and FWD variants are expected to be on offer.
