New style icons 2017 Audi A5, S5 Coupe Debut in Germany

Audi is all set to launch 2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupes in Germany and Europe this fall.2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupes made global debut at the company headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany a few hours ago. Sportier and aggressive than ever before, the new A5 and S5 is lighter and larger than older versions.

2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupe are also more fuel efficient and powerful, thanks to new engine and transmissions. Based on the Volkswagen Group’s MLB modular platform, the siblings also receive the latest in suspension, steering setup and infotainment and significantly more interior space.

Presented only in European trim, 2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupes will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The A5 will get a front drive and Quattro all wheel drive system with a 2.0 liter turbocharged TFSI 4 cylinder petrol engine offering 252 hp power mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

Audi S5 coupe will be powered by the same engine seen on the S4 which includes a 3.0 liter turbocharged V6 engine offering 349 hp power. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 4.7 seconds. The S5 engine is mated to an 8 speed automatic gearbox while Audi presents rear axle differential capable of enhanced handling on both models.

2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupes are slated to come in with a host of safety and driver/passenger conveniences. These include active lane assist, traffic jam assist, parking assist, cross traffic assist, collision assist and turn assist besides stop/go adaptive cruise control, and Audi pre sense systems. Set to make their way to showrooms across Europe by fall this year, pricing of both Audi A5 and S5 Coupes has yet to be announced.
