All-new Skoda Kodiaq full sized 7 seater SUV is all set to make global debut in Berlin early next month. Ahead of that, Skoda has revealed a few images of Kodiaq’s close-ups, which detail the upcoming SUVs headlight, taillight, side profile and alloy wheel design.

Built on the Volkswagen MQB platform, Skoda Kodiaq is based on the VisionS concept which the Czech company had unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

Named after an Alaskan bear, new Skoda Kodiaq will be launched in Europe early next year. It’s India launch will take place later next year. Once launched in India, it will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. Features and equipment list will be as impressive as that of the newly launched Superb in India.

Powering the new Skoda Kodiaq will be three turbocharged petrol TSI engines and two TDI diesel engines. Expect only the 2.0-liter diesel and 1.8-liter TSI to be on offer on board the India-spec Kodiaq. Transmission options will include 5 MT, 6 MT as well as DSG 7 speed. Higher trims will also be offered with AWD.

Post global unveil in Berlin, Skoda Kodiaq will head to the 2016 Paris Motor Show later next month. For European market, the Kodiaq will be built at the company’s plant in Czech, while for India, it will be assembled at Skoda India’s facility in Aurangabad.
