Lithium Urban Technologies was founded in the year of 2015, by Mr Sanjay Krishnan and Mr Ashwin Mahesh. Lithium becomes the world’s first all-electric solution for the transportation needs of an employee.

Electric vehicles are seen as the future of urban mobility, and Lithium identified this opportunity in the transportation sector, with an aim of not only bringing in electric cars into this sector, but also reducing the pollution levels in the atmosphere.

Drivers at Lithium have an upper hand as opposed to their competitors like Uber. They work on a fixed time schedule of 8 hours and are paid overtime if the time exceeds. This differentiator is valued as they are able to spend quality time with their families.

They are provided with health insurance and accident insurance as well as an education scheme for the daughters of the drivers.

With the help of fleet management software that is installed in the cars, they can be tracked at all times during their assured trips. For instance, if the car breaks down, the tracking software allows a replacement car to be sent.

The drivers go through two levels of verification: Police and digital footprint, thus giving an assurance to their customers.

The drivers are given a chance to live care-free on the Annual day, dedicated solely to the drivers and their families.

Lithium presently has 200 cars with electric charging points at all the corporate houses that they cater to. They aim to install multiple electric charging points in the country in the near future. They are proud to announce that they have clocked in 40 lakh green kilometers since its inception.
