Tata Hexa gears up for launch in India in the weeks ahead. It was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year as the company gets ready to replace the Aria crossover.

Expected to be priced in the range of INR 12-17 lakhs, Tata Hexa was taken to the Manali-Leh highway for an ad shoot. Once launched, it will rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500.

Tata Hexa measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height while it has a wheelbase measuring 2,850 mm. On its exterior, black plastic cladding, side sills, projector headlamps and roof rails are evident along with chrome exhaust pipes and a host of chrome accents while it sits on diamond cut alloy wheels.

Interiors of the Tata Hexa receive leather upholstery, mood lighting and a Harman touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets safety features like Electronic Stability Program, 6 airbags and optional six seat configuration.

The Hexa will be powered by Tata’s 2.2 liter VARICOR turbodiesel engine offering 156.2 PS peak power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm peak torque at 1,700 to 2,700 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic gearbox while the top end variant could be offered with an AWD system.
