Toyota Vios has been spied on test once again in India. New spy shots offers a better look at the upcoming new sedan. The Toyota Vios spied, is currently in its third generation. It is exported to some 80 countries from Thailand.

It is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine developing 107.50 hp max power @ 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm peak torque @ 4,200 rpm, made to 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

Spied Toyota Vios does not seem to be testing for launch in India, rather trying out climate, road conditions and the like for quality calibration.

India is a testing ground for many global cars and it seems Vios has taken a trip to India for no further reason. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has never indicated bringing such a product to India, but if they do launch the car here, it may not turn out to be a bad move.

But Toyota has a good reputation in India, which might help Vios gain good attention if not large sales, if it is introduced in India. Toyota Etios sedan manages over 2,000 units a month, same with hatchback version including Etios Cross (mentioned to give a perception of the nameplate’s performance in the country), and Toyota Corolla Altis sells around 1,000 numbers.
