NRI donates Rs 16 cr to Balaji

Tirumala: US-based entrepreneur M Ramalinga Raju donated Rs 16 crore to the TTD towards various developmental activities and handed over a Demand Draft to that effect to TTD Chairman K Bapi Raju and Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju here on Tuesday. Later speaking to media persons, TTD chairman said that out of this largesse Rs 11 crore was donated to prepare Sahasra Nama Mala with 35 kg of gold and the reamining Rs 5 crore would be utilised to construct Annaparasadam Bhavanam in the temple town of Tiruchanur. The chairman said the donor had also expressed his willingness to donate Rs 65 lakh more towards the setting up of a dhyana mandir at Srivari Padalu. TTD Board Member R Srinivas, Addl FACAO O Balaji and others were present.
