Sporting an ultra-modern look for ‘Greeku Veerudu’, superstar Nagarjuna is back to the commercial arena. This time the actor will be seen in three different looks for director Veerabhadram’s ‘Bhai’ where he plays a mafia don. While the don look will be for Hong Kong episodes, his two other looks are reserved for Old City portions and for his family sequences in the film.

“It’s an action-entertainer and its’ been long time since I’ve resorted to such genres. Luckily, both entertainment and action fell in place for ‘Bhai’. Families can watch it without any second thoughts,” Nagarjuna said speaking at the unveiling of the film’s first look in Hyderabad on Saturday. When quizzed about his character, he smiled, “I’m a don till sundown. After that I’m a playboy who speaks Old City lingo in the film.”

Speaking about the film’s director, Nag added, “I offered ‘Bhai’ after watching his ‘Poolarangadu’. I like entertaining films and all his films are entertainers. He is passionate about his craft. He has worked on the script for nine months.” Nag, who arrived to the press brief having completed his parts for ‘Manam’, his forthcoming film with dad Nageswara Rao and son Naga Chaitanya dismissed the news that his younger son Akhil will also be seen in the film. “Let him make his full-fledged debut first,” he said while adding how excited he was about the family project.

Having tried his hands at films which dished out social message to the audience in the past, the soft-spoken actor stated that “people are no longer interested in watching them. Even if they are made, they should be made cleverly”. However, the actor is game to star in a film which addresses environmental concerns. “The Uttarakhand floods have affected me personally. The climate has changed as the seasons are no longer the same that they used to be a decade ago. I’m pondering over doing an environment-based movie.”

With big flicks like ‘Attarintiki Daaredi’ and ‘Yevadu’ being postponed indefinitely due to unrest in Seemandhra region, the actor, who also launched the Annapurna Studios website at the event will wait to release ‘Bhai’. “I will release it when everyone is happy and when they want to see it. The audio will be unveiled in September first week.”

The actor, who bought the Mumbai Masters, the Mumbai Indian Badminton League (IBL) franchise, along with former Indian cricket captain Sunil Gavaskar and former chairman of the BCCI's junior selection committee V Chamundeshwarnath, said that he likes badminton as a sport. “I remember helping out dad, mom and uncle VB Rajendra Prasad at Sarathi Studios when they were playing shuttle. I was a six-year-old kid then. Some time back I used to play it on a regular basis in the evening. P Gopichand deserves the credit for India’s position in badminton today,” he said.
