Besides a large number of kids who thronged the venue after learning that Pawan would grace the occasion, Governor ESL Narasimhan too seemed to have been bitten by the Pawan bug.
In his speech, ESL referred to Pawan as "Aaradagula Bullet", a popular song from Pawan's latest film Atharintiki Daredi. In his speech, ESL told Pawan: "Aaradugula bullet…dairyam visirina rocket…pawan garoo..intiki vellina tarvaata meeru pawan gane undali…power kalyan gaa undakoodadu." The kids and Pawan's fans gathered there went berserk when they heard this.
Pawan in his brief talk said he was honoured to be among kids. Pawan Kalyan is the most popular star in Tollywood. His career reached its peak after his two outings - Gabbar Singh and Atharintiki Daredi became blockbusters. Pawan will now start shooting for Gabbar Singh 2 and his next after that will be Ko Bali that will be directed by Trivikram Srinivas who gave Pawan some of the hit movies in his career, including the recent Atharintiki Daredi and Jalsa.
Atharintiki Daredi pushed Pawan's star status to a new level by breaking all the box office records set by other movies. The movie starred Samantha and Praneetha in the female leads. Nadhiya and Brahmanandam were seen in important roles. Music was by Devi Sri Prasad.
