Harshavardhan Rane of ‘Takita Takita’ fame is an actor to look out for. The actor who has already worked with the likes of Ravi Babu, Sekhar Kammula and Neelakanta is awaiting the release of his fourth film ‘Prema Ishq Kadal’. The actor who graduated from the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai, where the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj Bajpai got trained has also been actively involved in many theatrical ventures.

Speaking about ‘Prema Ishq Kadal’, he says, “The movie is a youthful, love entertainer which revolves around the love stories of three youngsters”. Speaking about the role, he says “I play a rockstar in the film. It will be a different role, as not many have portrayed a rockstar in Telugu films. There is a rockstar in every person. When the time comes, it will be revealed,” he shares.

The Rajahmundry-born actor got popular with a short film ‘Infinity’ went on to do Bhoomika Chawla’s debut production ‘Takita Takita’. He created quite a buzz with his performance in his second film Genelia and Rana starrer- ‘Naa Ishtam’. Though his last release ‘Avunu’, directed by Ravi Babu did not give him the needed appreciation, the film went on to be one of the top grossers in its genre in 2012.

The actor is keen to establish himself in Tollywood. The actor even rejected the role of Deepika’s brother in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’. “I was doing ‘Avunu,’ so I could not take it up. Moreover, I would rather do a big role in a small film, than a small role in a big film,” he explains.

About his future projects, he says, “I’m working in ‘Anaamika’ with Sekhar Kammula where the character surprises the audience, ‘Maya’ with Neelakanta’ and one film with Allari Naresh. I am fortunate to have worked with established directors in early part of my career,” he adds.

About the online rumours that he is a party animal, “Acting comes first, other things I am not really concerned,” he signs off.
