Director YVS Chowdary’s ‘Rey’, which is being produced and directed by him, is set to hit the screens on May 9. However what’s interesting is that the film, which has shot its major portions in West Indies, will be dubbed into the regional language of the country! This will be the first time a Telugu film will release in the Caribbean.

Announcing this, the director of the film said, “During the colonial times, the British took many Indians to West Indies for growing sugarcane farms. The families settled there, and ‘Rey’ is the story of a boy who belongs to one such family.”

He added, “We received a great deal of cooperation from the local Telugu organizations and also the government. Also since we have shot major portions of the film in USA and West Indies, we have planned in such a way that the entire team of the film will watch the premier shows at both the places.”

Sayami Kher and Shraddha Das will be seen as the female leads opposite Sai Dharam Tej in this film that has music scored by Chakri.
