Shweta Basu prositution row: Vishnu Manchu offers role

Media and police may have showed Shweta Basu in bad plight. But the actress is lucky to have been receiving sympathy from cine artistes across the Indian film industry.

We already told you that several women's help groups, Bollywood celebrities poured their heart out sympathising with the plight of Shweta Basu. The latest actor to have backed the actress is none other than Manchu Vishnu, who has even offered her a role in one of his movies.

"What happened to Shweta is certainly tragic. Why didn't the police name the other big wigs who were caught during the raids? Why didn't the media rake up that issue? Wasn't it a sin for that girl to become an actress? The media and police have exhibited too much interest in the case. Mistakes happen everywhere. Doesn't the media goof up? Shweta is an actress who won a national award for her performance. It's really sad that this had to happen to her. I will give Shweta Basu Prasad a good role in my movie," said Vishnu Manchu.

It's worth mentioning here that Shweta was caught red-handed when the Hyderabad police busted a high-profile sex racket.
