Now, less than two weeks after writer Aaron Sorkin confirmed the casting, the 40-year-old actor has apparently bailed out.

Christian is said to have been conflicted about playing the high-tech whiz and decided that, after a lot of going back and forth, it was best he bow out of the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie was scheduled to begin filming this winter in hopes of a quick release.

The film's director Danny Boyle (‘Transpotting’, ‘28 Days Later’) is scouting for actors and actresses - and perhaps a lead actor - in Los Angeles this week, the publication reported.
