Varun has no dates for dad!
Director David Dhawan says that his actor-son Varun is too busy to work with him! The 59-year-old filmmaker, who directed Varun in the film ‘Main Tera Hero’ said he feels proud of the way Varun and Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ shaped his son’s career graph in the industry.
Director David Dhawan says that his actor-son Varun is too busy to work with him! The 59-year-old filmmaker, who directed Varun in the film ‘Main Tera Hero’ said he feels proud of the way Varun and Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ shaped his son’s career graph in the industry.
“I will work with him again but not until 2016 as he is busy with films. He will start working on Rohit’s (Dhawan’s elder son) directorial project soon,” Dhawan said recently. Varun made his Bollywood debut in Dharma Productions’s 2012 college drama ‘Student of the Year’, after assisting director-producer Karan Johar in Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer ‘My Name is Khan’.
The ‘Partner’ director termed Varun’s mentor Karan Johar as his ‘first father’. “Karan is the first father and I am his second. As a father I am happy with the way things are going for him. Varun began by working with Karan and that makes him what he is today. God bless Karan for nurturing young talents,”
