Porn star Sunny Leone gets warm reception while a Rape Victim is ill-treated in India: Annu Kapoor

Annu Kapoor plays the head of Tanakpur in the film Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho. He is an aspiring Politician. In a brief discussion, the actor discloses his love for India and claims to be a Feminist in every manner. Not leaving a chance to slam our countrymen for glorifying Sunny Leone who was once a Porn Star, he also agrees to the fact that he does not belong to any of the Khans camp.

On his character in Tanakpur Haazir ho he says, "I fail to understand why we are saying that this film is a socio-political flick. In fact it is totally a social film. it also highlights the Khaap rules and regulations for their women folk. Indeed the intriguing tale reveals –how smartly this Sualala[my character] by using powers vested upon him by Khap manages to manipulate and exploit bigger powers of the state and take his own revenge. The writer /director Vinod Kapri has exploited a real tale in his own manner expressing his thought process by showing and solving the rape case of a Buffalo –it’s definitely treated as a, “Metaphor!”.”

Not many know that Annu Kapoor has a farm house in Badlapur and as a token of patriotism what makes him feel proud,”I do not like to be vocal about my love for my Country-India. Until my last breath I will execute my love for India in my own manner. I deny the fact that patriotism is totally dead in us.There are a handful of people who still love their country- Let me tell you I was surprised myself when few people who visited me from Badlapur told me ,”Sir-Apke farm house mein aaj bhi tirangaa jhanda har din lehraya jata hai![The tri-color National Indian Flag is hoisted in your farm house every day.]

About not belonging to the Khan camp he says, "Look, years back my secretary had informed me of getting a phone call from Aamir Khan. But then I get so many calls. Literally, I have not been cast or approached by any of the Khans until this day. There can be a SRK camp, Salman Khan Camp or Aamir Khan Camp or Sunny Leone Camp but I am not so lucky to have bestowed upon a chance to work with them. I believe luck plays a pivotal part in your profession there is nothing above luck!!

bout Sunny Leone being a well known star on the bollywood Horizon he lashes at one and all and quips, " It’s a matter of shame for us that a rape victim is not allowed to mix up with us... she is treated as though something grave has happened to her and our pseudo aristocratic society refuses to give her any acceptance. But Sunny Leone is welcomed with open arms and professionally she gets a lot of work here in Cinema. Surprisingly, her, “Porn Star” image takes a back seat. And this rape victim girl is looked down upon in a typical manner."

About supporting Feminism he says, "We perform puja keeping the Navgraha .We also respect all the Devis but when it comes to a woman, she is ill-treated even in her own house. I am a great feminist I always want every woman should be respected. Unless we love and respect our women blessings of the Almighty God will not be showered upon us,” he adds.

The film, which stars Annu Kapoor, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Sanjay Mishra, Om Puri, Ravi Kissen among others, is being distributed by Fox Star Studios and will release on June 26.
