Pawan Kalyan’s next with SJ Surya

Together they’ve delivered a smash hit ‘Khushi’ (2001) and a nightmare ‘Puli’ (2010). And now, they are set to join forces for the third time again. Yes, we are talking about Pawan Kalyan and SJ Surya. The project in question, Talkies has exclusively learnt, will be a romantic entertainer and will go on floors once the actor wraps up his in-progress venture ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’.

A source close to the development said, “Surya has been meeting Pawan Kalyan frequently for the past one year for this project. He recently bounced a plotline which Pawan took a liking to. The actor suggested minor changes and asked Surya to develop it. The project is very much on.” When contacted, Surya was not forthcoming, “I cannot speak anything about it right now.

Mr Sharrath Marar is the right person to be spoken to,” he said, indirectly pointing out that Marar, Pawan’s friend and producer, will steer the project under his Northstar Entertainment. While Marar was unavailable for a comment, a source close to him confirmed, “Yes, Pawan’s next will be with Surya. It’s too early to speak about the genre.”

That leaves us the question as to what happened to Pawan’s project with veteran director-producer Dasari Narayana Rao. “The script hasn’t been finalised yet, and so it is not happening next. Nonetheless, the actor is committed to Dasari,” the source said.
