While Varun Tej is treading a cautious path when it comes to picking new scripts, his cousin Sai Dharam seems to be on a signing spree. And as the speculation over the much talked about Varun-Gopichand Malineni film continues, there’s a slight change in the casting, we hear.
While Varun Tej is treading a cautious path when it comes to picking new scripts, his cousin Sai Dharam seems to be on a signing spree. And as the speculation over the much talked about Varun-Gopichand Malineni film continues, there’s a slight change in the casting, we hear.
Apparently, Sai Dharam Tej might step in as a replacement for Varun. Sources tell that when Gopichand brought up the concept, Sai evinced instant interest. He, nonetheless, is yet to take a final call as he is busy with multiple projects in his kitty.
A source close to the director says, “While Gopichand was still working on the script that he had for Varun, there were several developments happening over the project.
With Varun dillydallying over the project, the director in the meantime approached Sai Dharam Tej, who felt that Gopi’s idea has something new to explore. Also, the director’s track record was on the actor’s mind.”
However, whether it’s the same script that was written for Varun or not has to be known. Sai Dharam is currently shooting for 'Supreme' and 'Tikka' and also has a project with writer-turned-director BVS Ravi.
