Neetu Chandra to celebrate National award win with family and close friends in Delhi!
Actress-entrepreneur Neetu Chandra’s Mithila Makhaan (Maithili language) produced by her production house Champaran Talkies has won the National Award for the Best Maithili Film.
Actress-entrepreneur Neetu Chandra’s Mithila Makhaan (Maithili language) produced by her production house Champaran Talkies has won the National Award for the Best Maithili Film.
The actress-entrepreneur has flown to Delhi to celebrate the win with her family and friends. According to sources, a special party has been organised this week for around 300 guests and some of Neetu’s friends from the industry will also be attending the success bash.”
On the proud win, Neetu says, “Some of my closest relatives, family members and friends are going to be at the party, among other guests. We decided to have this party in Delhi since my brother Nitin Chandra is there.”
Directed by Nitin, Mithila Makhaan is the first ever film in the history of Bihar and Jharkhand to get a National award.
Mithila Makhan is the first Maithili language film to be extensively shot in USA, Canada, India and Nepal. The movie takes Maithili language cinema on to a new horizon considering the film’s budget, script, cast and cinematography.
The movie also opened the film festival – ‘Bihar: Ek Virasat & Film Mahotsav 2016’ in Patna recently.
