Injured Rajini to resume shoot from today

Rajinikanth suffered a minor injury on the sets of his upcoming Tamil science-fiction action-thriller ‘2.o’ in Chennai on Saturday evening. According to a source, he fell and hurt one of his knees.

"Rajinikanth fell while filming a crucial scene and hurt one of his knees while shooting in Kelambakkam. He was taken to Chettinad hospital where the superstar underwent treatment for about half an hour. However, the good news is that it was not a major injury. The actor returned to the sets late night to ensure that everything was under control. He is absolutely fine and will resume the shooting from Monday,” a source from the film's unit said.

Fans of the superstar could breathe easy after coming to know that the 'Thalaivar' is well. However, his health has been a cause of concern over the past few months.

Meanwhile the science fiction film is slotted to release in Diwali 2017 release.

The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in important roles.
