Mahanati Twitter review

Till few years back, who would have thought that they would witness the life story of a yesteryear actress Savitri whose life journey was nothing short of a roller-coaster ride. But young directed Nag Aswin of ‘Evade Subramanyam’ fame witnessed this dream and made it a reality. The musch-awaited biopic ‘Mahanati’ is hitting the silver screens on May 9th.

Talented actress Keerthy Suresh reprises the role of the great actress Savitri. The film also has a huge list of stars playing crucial roles. Malayalam star Dulquer Salman will be seen playing the role of Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan who happens to be the husband of Savitri. Samantha Akkineni plays the role of Maduravani who studies the life of Savitri and Vijay Devararkonda plays her love interest Vijay Anthony. Apart from them, actors like Malavika Nair, Shalini Pandey, Bhanupriya, Prakash Raj, Mohan Babu, Rajendra Prasad played key roles in this flick. There was a lot of research done for this film and the makers left no stone unturned for it.

Foreign cinematographer Danny Sanchez-Lopez worked on this periodic flick set in 70’s-80’s. Music of this film is composed by Mickey J. Meyer and Sai Madhav Burra wrote the dialogues for this flick. ‘Mahanati’ is coming from the banner of ‘Vijayanthi Movies’ and ‘Swapna Cinema’ produced by Ashwini Dutt, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt. The Tamil version will be releasing on 11th May. The makers took utmost care regarding the sets, costumes and everything to give the film an authentic feel and the film is expected to send the viewers into some nostalgic memories and show the real life of a much celebrated ‘Mahanati’.

1st half is excellent #Mahanati. performances are the best , technically the film is solid the DOP and the art director Avinash successfully recreated the 60’s & 50’s. BGM by Micky is excellent
