Countdown begins for Akhil’s next

After two flops in a row like ‘Akhil’ and ‘Hello’, young actor Akhil is pinning big hopes on his upcoming romantic entertainer ‘Mr Majnu’ to deliver his maiden blockbuster. Putting an end to speculations, the scion of Akkineni family confirmed that his film will hit the screens in January, 2019. “Except for one song, the entire shooting has been wrapped up,” he said in a tweet, a few days ago. “Countdown for the film's release has begun”, he says.

'Mr.Majnu' is most likely to hit the theatres on the Republic Day. The film is being directed by Venky Atluri of 'Tholi Prema' fame and it stars Nidhi Aggarwal of 'Savyasachi' fame. S S Thaman is scoring the music. It is being bankrolled by BVSN Prasad. It hasn’t been a fruitful year for the Akkineni family, since Nagarjuna couldn’t spin box office magic with ‘Devdas’, while Naga Chaitanya had to content with two big flops ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ and ‘Savyasachi. Its high time, Akhil breaks the jinx and scores a massive commercial hit to regain his pride as well that of his family, since nothing works in T-town except ‘blockbusters’ and even for actors from star families, there is no exception.
