The makers of NTR-biopic are aiming for an epic release of the film. It is been reported that the makers are looking at 1000 screens for the release.
NTR-Kathanayakudu will be released in over 1,000 screens in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and certain parts of Tamil Nadu. The film is also gearing up for a major release in Karnataka, a state with a considerable Telugu population.
The biopic is slated for 9th January release, it is been produced by N Balakrishna, the actor also plays NT Rama Rao, one of the most revered actors and politicians of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The film chronicles NTR’s life as one of the most successful actors of Tollywood in the '70s and '80s and his jump into politics and the formation of the Telugu Desam Party. The film is made in two parts and the second installment will release on 8th February.
It is also been confirmed that the film is also releasing in Maharashtra and overseas in Australia, the USA, Canada and in a number of Gulf countries.
The film has bagged multiple distributors in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. While Asian Cinemas is the major distributor in Telangana, Vintage Creations, Padmakar Cinemas and USHA Pictures are the official distributors in Andhra Pradesh.
In Tamil Nadu, SPI Cinemas are distributing the film and in north India, AA films is the distributor. The satellite rights of the NTR biopic have been sold for Rs 25 crore to Gemini pictures.
