Aamir Khan hosted a special screening and premiere of docudrama “Rubaru Roshni” for the entire film fraternity and friends here in Mumbai.
Bollywood celebrities such as Vaani Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Karan Johar, Ramesh Taurani, Sunny Leone, Sanya Malhotra, Kabir Khan, Aanand L Rai, Sooraj Barjatya, Divya Khosla Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Tusshar Kapoor, Yami Gautam, Swara Bhaskar, Sohum Shah, Parineeti Chopra and many more graced the screening of the film.
Aamir Khan sounded excited during the screening and shared a message for all his fans. He said, “You must watch this film. It is releasing on 26th January, Republic Day, after flag hoisting, sharp 11 o’clock on the entire star network channels. Just watch the film”
The promos of the documentary have been doing the rounds on television for quite some time now. In one of the promos, Aamir Khan talks about the freedom we enjoy as citizens. The Dangal actor says that we have the freedom to express but in the end, he questions if we are really free.
Aamir’s wife and fellow producer Kiran Rao was present as well. The film is directed by Svati Chakravarty and is set to premiere on Star Plus on Republic Day.
Aamir announced the film as a surprise on social media recently and mentioned that it is a project very close to his heart.
