Sri Rukmini Satyabhama Sametha Venugopala Swamy Temple at Doveton Bazar in Bollarum is more than two centuries old. All the key nitya kainkaryas (daily rituals) as well as Srivaishnava Utsavams are regularly performed at the shrine.
Janmashtami, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Vijaya Dashami, Deepavali and Dhanurmasam are the main Utsavams of the temple. Prominent festivals are celebrated here with great fervor, pomp and devotion. The temple has the privilege of having been graced by H.H. Srimad Thirukkundandhai Aandavan Swamy and H.H. Srimad Srimushnam Aadavan Swamy.
The main festival of Sri Rukmini Satyabhama Sametha Venugopala Swamy Temple is Krishna Janmashtami, which is celebrated in a religious manner with gusto and pageantry. The day is marked by special poojas, prayers, rituals as well as performance of yagna and homams to help devotees improve their personal and professional lives.
Tens of thousands of devotees visit the temple for darshan and participate in organised events, which are followed by consecrated, community meal in the form of Anna Dhaanam. This Janmashtami, Laksha Archana was performed at Sri Venugopala Swamy temple on 14th August and 15th August 2017. Sri Sudharshana Vaibhavam/Homam will be performed on 16th August 2017, according to temple dharma kartha Mr. C K Arjun Rao.
