Lovelorn inter student kills Class IX girl in Adilabad

A jilted lover allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a knife at Kankuru of Jaipuru mandal in Adilabad district on Tuesday evening.

The girl succumbed to injuries today morning.

According to reports, Ravi and Anusha (14) are residents of Kankuru. Ravi is an intermediate student and the girl was in Class IX.

Girl's parents alleged that the accused had been harassing Anusha for the past six months. They also warned him several times. Recently Ravi proposed to her which the girl turned down.

An angry Ravi allegedly attacked the girl with a knife at her residence while she was studying.

Finding her daughter in a pool of blood, Anusha's mother gave a loud scream and the neighbors rushed her to the nearby Marchala government hospital.

When her condition became critical, Anusha was being shifted to a hospital in Karimnagar. Unfortunately, she died on the way to hospital.

On hearing the news of Anusha's death, hundreds of people gathered at the deceased's residence and demanded strict action against the accused.
