Late on Thursday, At S. Peddavalasa village of makkuva mandal in Vijayanagaram district, the teacher couple - Hemala Bhaskara Rao and Lakshmikantham were killed brutally by unidentified killers. While the duo was on their way to S. Peddavalasa on their bike, on reaching the outskirts of their village, they were attacked with huge iron rods to death. Later, the dead bodies were thrown in a nearby banana garden. Early on Friday, the dead bodies were identified by the locals and informed the police immediately. At the spot of the incident, empty liquor bottles and a cell phone were found. It is learnt that the duo has a duel with a person of the same village on the matter of land. The police have been interrogating the case in that angle also. The police said it will be easy to identify the details of the murderers as soon as possible with the help of the cell phone found at the spot of the incident.

In a similar incident, near Dudgaon in Balkonda Mandal of Nizamabad district, on National Highway No 44, early on Friday, the police have seized Rs. 10.75L, according to the Sub Inspector of Police, Suresh. The amount was seized from as many as three vehicles. Two vehicles were carrying Rs. 3.5L each, while the third vehicle was carrying Rs 3.75L.

A huge quantity of Sarees stored in a go-down at Mogalthuru of Bhimavaram mandal in West Godavarai district have been seized by the police early on Friday. For luring the electorates duringthe election campaign, a party candidate has allegedly stored these sarees. As many as 228 bundles of sarees have been taken to the police station in 7 tractors. The approximate cost of sarees amounts to Rs 30L.

At Kishtapuram of Rayaparthi Mandal in Warangal district on Friday, the police have found Rs 75L hidden in the car, allegedly. The same was seized by the police.
