ACB shocks traffic police at Begumpet
Upon receiving authentic information from anonymous sources that the traffic police in Begumpet were charging fines without issuing receipts, the ACB officials have raided the area on Saturday night.
Hyderabad: Upon receiving authentic information from anonymous sources that the traffic police in Begumpet were charging fines without issuing receipts, the ACB officials have raided the area on Saturday night. On Saturday midnight the traffic police has collected Rs 16,440/- from the general public in drunk and drive issue. However, the traffic police were in possession of more money than they have collected.
The ACB officials have inquired about the accounting of the additional amount which was possessed by the traffic police. There was irrelevant information sought from them by the ACB. DCP Chandrasekhar of ACB said that a memorandum will be submitted against the CI, ASI and 9 constables for not showing proper accounting details of the amount. More details are awaited.
